Job Description

A Landscape Designer in the Enhancements division at TLC Landscaping is tasked with preparing quotes and landscape designs within a set budget for client approval. In this role, you will collaborate with the Production Manager and quote various services (e.g., sod repair, slit-seeding, drainage, eavestrough cleaning, weed control, etc.).

Duties & Responsibilities

As a Landscape Designer, you will take into consideration clients’ ideas and visions to create their ideal outdoor space. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design Care: Plan and confirm site measurements and analysis, plant lists, materials needed, locates, and permits as necessary. Create drawing plans and presentation packages.
  • Team Care: Provide detailed information to the Production Manager to ensure teams can complete a project within budget; discuss the ongoing build with the Production Manager to adjust if corrections are needed.
  • Administration: Responsible for office communication with clients and teams. Obtain locates and permits as necessary. Ensure data integrity in provided software systems.

Qualifications & Required Skills

  • G-Class Driver’s License
  • College or University Degree in Landscape Design 
  • Landscape Industry Certified, Landscape Ontario
  • Advanced horticultural knowledge is required
  • Knowledge of landscape equipment, pruning, and general city information (e.g., roadways, locations, etc.)
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a related field
  • Experience with AutoCAD and SketchUp
  • Proven typing and computer skills
