Employee Spotlight

See why our employees love working at TLC Landscaping.

Amanda Hadway

Amanda is a Grounds Care Team Lead, and she’s worked at TLC for 6 full seasons, summer and winter.

In the summer, Amanda helps her team maintain the beautiful condo properties we service. In the winter, she has shoveled snow and operated a Kubota and a plow truck! At TLC, Amanda enjoys the many opportunities to learn new skills, grow within the company, and meet new people.

Chris Mills

Chris has been a part of the TLC team for over 8 years now and is currently an Enhancements Team Lead.

The best part of the job for Chris has been the great people he works with and working outside in the fresh air every day. Not only is Chris a great leader, but he also is a highly engaged employee! He’s never missed our annual staff BBQ at East Park, and always makes an effort to join other company events such as paintball, bowling, axe throwing, and Knights games.

Rob Raby

Meet Rob, an Enhancements Field Supervisor! Rob's journey at TLC began 9 years ago, working as a Team Second in our Grounds Care division. His hard work and positive attitude allowed him to quickly advance in the company.

After finishing school, Rob went into the field of geophysics – surveying for gold around the world for 10 years! At some point along the way, he decided it was time to find a job close to home so he could start a family, and that’s when he made the switch to TLC.

Rob enjoys building walls and completing lifts and relays to make the condo properties his team services a safe living environment.

Roy Smith

Roy has worked at TLC for 6 years now but has been in the landscape industry for over 16. He started his landscape career as a Construction Labourer and has continued to work his way up!

Roy first joined us as a Team Second in Design & Build, but he quickly progressed to Team Lead, Winter Manager, and finally, to his current position as a Grounds Care Operation Manager. Roy has always been eager to advance his skills and expand his knowledge in the industry – signing up for every and any training course he can! His hard work and dedication are truly appreciated here at TLC.

Darren Lackenbauer

As our Design Build Production Manager, Darren transforms our clients’ dreams into a reality by managing the teams that create the beautiful outdoor living spaces TLC is known for. Darren started with us back in 2004, when the company consisted of only 30 to 40 employees. Fast forward 18 years, and he continues to grow with us as our team expands to over 150 employees.

Darren takes great pride in, and satisfaction from, the hard work his teams put in and the happy customers that result. He’s enjoyed seeing the evolution from what his single small team could accomplish to a much larger group, across multiple teams.
